SCORE

Note:
To Dan Rice, or his Ghost was composed in Spring 2014. The piece inspired the titular figure who is considered the father of the American circus tradition, as well as a occasional presidential candidate, musician, and overall early American celebrity. The piece relies on the conflict of the regal, poised soloist (the violin) and the rag tag accompaniment (the brass) through they do not always play in direct opposition. This piece is dedicated to violinist Hannah Bureau.
